The Bridging Freedom – A Glimpse Into a Future of Hope – reception was held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, for human trafficking nonprofits, community leaders, and donors to celebrate the progress in the construction of their new on-campus housing facility. Laura Hamilton, President, and Corporal Alan Wilkett, Pasco County Sherriff’s Office, gave sterling presentations on the desperate need for more housing for rescued victims in the Tampa Bay area and the important role all of us must play in combating human trafficking and healing the survivors. Campaign Against Human Trafficking-SouthShore attended. President Annie Garrison won a gorgeous Bundt cake in a raffle. Annie gave the cake to Pasco County’s Sheriff Department as a small appreciation for their outstanding commitment and work in removing traffickers out of our area as well as rescuing nightly young victims – boys and girls, from such a horrible enslavement.
