CAHT Victim Services committee, headed by Joan Kramer, gathered this week to assemble over 50 backpacks for kids and teens of all ages and sizes. Each backpack is a ”starter kit” to a new life for survivors of human trafficking and vulnerable teenagers. The backpacks contain some basic clothing, flip flops, hygiene products, school products, hat, and small comforting items. Ten volunteers gathered Monday, April 23rd at United Methodist Church, pulling together items for each backpack that will be delivered to various safe homes, law enforcement and other locations throughout the tri-county area.
